Biographies


Richard Winefield
Executive Director

Richard Winefield comes to the Museum from KQED, where he served as the Vice President for Interactive and Educational Services. He holds a Doctorate in Education from Harvard University and is a noted author of several articles and books, including Never the Twain Shall Meet, a book on educational policy and handicapped children. During his 25+ years of successfully leading organizations focused on educating children, he served as CEO and Superintendent of Schools for the Orinda Union School District and the Assistant Superintendent of Schools for the Oakland Unified School District. Winefield has also worked in the private sector as a consultant focusing on organizational strategy and change implementation. Winefield and his wife have two children and live in Orinda.


Jumee Park

President, Board of Trustees

Jumee Park is a community leader completing her final year as President of the Board of Trustees, a position she has held since 2005. She joined the Board of Trustees in 2003 with a background in marketing and strategic planning in the high tech industry. Prior to her term as President, she co-chaired the Opening Gala Live Auction in 2004 and served as Vice President. She moved to the Bay Area from New York City 14 years ago and currently resides in San Francisco with her husband, David, and their three daughters. David is Founder and Managing Partner of Headlands Capital Management.
