Bay Area Discovery Museum school visits engage children in interdisciplinary arts and sciences learning about the local environment and the diverse communities that have shaped the San Francisco Bay Area.

Our goal is to enhance your Museum experience and introduce your group to methods of questioning and discovery to deepen your interaction with our exhibitions. 

My Story by the Bay

Preschool through Grade Two

• Group visits are scheduled for two-and-a-half-hour blocks.
• Every school group will be met at the front gate by members of our education staff for a brief 20-30 minute “Welcome Experience,” including an orientation of the Museum site, a brief hands-on activity and a thematically relevant, guided exploration of an exhibition space.
• School visits are offered from October through the end of May.
      Tuesdays – Fridays
      9:30 a.m. – noon
      11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
